Wow... so many beautiful blocks are being shown! I love this part of the swap where everyone is just having fun working with one fabric after the next. I need to get in the game! I'm so glad you all are having a good time with this. I can't wait to come up with a house block.
Yesterday I got to go to Marshall's Dry Goods in Arkansas. It's about 2.5 hours from here so I try to go about twice a year. While I was there, I got an alarming call from my son telling me my husband had chest pains, and drove himself to the hospital where he underwent an emergency heart cath. They had to put in a stint. He still has some significant arterial blockages so he'll be in the hosp for a few days while they poke and prod him. I was going to go home today because of this, but since they are keeping him longer, I will hang out with the kids in Memphis another day or so.

Forgot to tell you... while I was driving on 64 through AR, I passed through an area devastated by a recent tornado. It was horrible! Where there were once houses and stores, there were only piles of building materials. It's like someone disassembled each building and left all the parts... boards, roof, etc. in a neat pile where before a building stood. Those poor people!

Sewbiz, sending prayers and good thoughts your way for your DH. He's in the best place he could be right now. I hope this will be a distant memory for both of you soon.
I haven't done any sewing since last June when the dreaded C raised it's nasty head. I was afraid I had lost my enthusiasm for quilting entirely since then. Your kind words for the blocks I posted are so much appreciated. I am looking forward to going after just the right block for each fabric again. Thank you for bearing with me.

SBG, I feel for your husband. Mine had the same issues but much worse. He wasn't eligible for stents. He had to have a quadruple bypass. Way more involved.
He does have a stent in his femoral artery. He has peripheral vascular disease and has had 3 surgeries to clear out his legs. The last 2 years have been a nightmare but he's doing well now. This is a guy who never got sick and was strong as an ox.
Sending prayers and good wishes to you both.
