This is a block using one of my nursery themes. We don’t know the sex of this little peanut so no pink and very little blue. It’s not going to be easy picking colors for this one. I would prefer the block not read dark but light and airy. Also with the size of the critters simpler blocks with larger pieces of the fabric would probably work out best. I did send fabric swatch ideas. My granddaughter who is having the baby this quilt will go to loves all animals. One of her degrees was in zoology and she worked at the zoo for about 5 years
Beautiful block. This magnolia fabric looks familiar, Like I may have used this fabric in the past for something.

Stars, You are on the ball! Seven or 8 packages are set to arrive in the next couple of days.
Because my surgery is set in a few weeks, I’m beginning to make blocks as your fabrics come in. I hope nobody minds that I’m getting a jump on you all. I just don’t know if I’ll be able to sew in a few days or a month post surgery. I hope it’s sooner rather than later. My nightmare is holding up my own swap! lol.
Here’s my first block for AnnaQuilts. Love those little hearts! Hope you like it.

One more for me tonight. This one is for TravelingGramma’s second set. It wasn’t until I’d started putting the block together that I realized the F8 was directional. I’m a bit disappointed I didn’t see it earlier as I’d have cut the f8 differently. Watch out for the directionality of this one.

Today one package is due in but tomorrow is the big day with 7 due to arrive! It’ll be a big day for me. At this house I’ve got a vestibule and the mail carrier is terrific at putting packages inside when there are a lot. I don’t have to worry about them nearly as much as I did at the old house.
I’m off to work on prepping my F8s and then I’ve just got to do some straightening up. I’ve been piecing and quilting so much that I’ve really let the house slide.
