I've decided on my fabric. Some I bought (on sale - whee!) a few weeks ago just for this purpose, and the rest came from my stash. :)

Hope we're doing 2 groups! C'mon and join if you haven't already! :mrgreen:

1) Batiks in "cool" jeweltone colors ... purples, greens, blues, teals

2) Farm

3) Red/Black/White

I haven't started cutting yet, so I'm not sure yet how many F8's I'll send for each theme, but almost all of my fabric is washed and ready to cut. :) If we do have 2 groups, I may even add in another theme or two, possibly for some small charity quilts. :)

They all sound like great themes and I have to agree WOW Fryguy! Love love the block (I have always been a fan of the carpenter's wheel block) and you did it proud!

We are almost at two groups of 36 I am just awaiting a confirm from one person and then I can close the swap and get the spreadsheets together and out (which will take me a day or two since there are two groups this time :-) )

That is one of the funnest parts of this swap-being stretched outside of our normal comfort zones because we are "forced" to work with a fabric we may not normally pick ourselves but in the end we go "Hmmm I really think I like this" lol

You will find some fabrics yell at you right away what they want to be and what colors they want to go with and others will stand mute for awhile-that's okay because in the end they all talk and end up home a beautiful grown up block.
