I had a little time today to work on some blocks. I will be mailing completed blocks to JudyVA and MFQS on monday. Like last time, I posted pics of the blocks on a separate page......if you want a peek here is the link.....

I got it at Joann's in their premium section and then I bought more online. It's called "Oil Slick." Horrible name for a great fabric. There are 2 colorways and mine is the purple I think. I'm so glad you like it. I tried to find something that had lots of different colors so it would be easier to coordinate with. Happy sewing!

Is it okay to use black with it or would you rather we stayed away from black?

This is your block, so use what you want in it. I'm sure it will be gorgeous. Be creative and do what you want. I'm sure I'll love whatever you do.

I fell in love with that fabric! Can't wait to get all your surprises in the mail! This is my first swap and I'm itching to get started making the blocks, but I can't until I get this darn quilt done for a graduation present for the daughter of a friend, that I was asked to make.

So far, I have a black and now a purple. This is going to be a beautiful quilt.

Jane, I love my block. It's beautiful. I appreciate seeing all the other blocks as well. Don't want to repeat what you have done.
