And to think, when I taught quilting, I used to teach some of the students that had sight problems, teaching them what kinds of products to use so that they could keep quilting! Never knew I'd have to use it myself!

I think it says something about adding a subscription. You can click on the boxes that are for the active swaps you are in. I clicked the 2 Boomerangs I am in. You get a choice of receiving immediate posts or a daily digest, just like on other groups I am in, such as Yahoo. So, now when people on the group are talking, I will know right away! Another piece of good news, a lady is coming over this weekend to help me with my sight and to learn, again, to do things that I like to do. All you have to do is put up with my typing mistakes now! I received a really beautiful block today from Wendsy today. My camera is not working properly now so there is no way I can take a picture. I have received a total of 17 wonderful blocks back and need to still receive 18 blocks. Can someone please let me know who has dropped out of this swap since someone mentioned in a previous post. Thanks very much. Peggerss

Im missing 24 blocks still. The only F8 I hadnt received is girlscouts1 but I think shes sending it per private message. I would like to know about some of the other members also as most of them seem to have stopped posting. I know its probably this new boards fault!
People may not remember what you looked like or what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel!

    Question Block with no owner

I received a wonderful block in today's mail, it's a blue and white 9 patch, but no name. The envelope was closed with blue painter's tape and post marked Birmingham, AL sent out October 8. It must have been delivered to the wrong address because the envelope was openned (slashed through the top-don't know how it didn't harm the block-the address label has just the face of Liberty, the rest is ripped off.) Whoever opened this held on to it for a while before sending it on-not eaten by the mail machines, no body bag or explaination for the damage. With the information on the envelope I think it came from Kris 2011, but if anyone knows for sure, please let me know so I can put a name on it.

I didn't think anyone had dropped out of the winter swap...I received everyone's f8's.

April would be aware of anyone dropping out and she would be the one to post any information she received and what the status of the F8's would be. Until we see a post from her I'd say everyone is still participating. If you have received a PM from someone directly, please share that information with April so she can check it out for the rest of us.

It seems some finished up so quickly it's amazing. I'm glad we have until Feb though because I'm lucky to get to work on one or two a week at this time. I'm over 1/2 finished so I'm in good shape I think. For those that are finished, please be patient with those of us that aren't. I wouldn't get concerned until in January about who hasn't returned a block. That's when I plan to list the status of who hasn't sent theirs back to me and the status of what I have left to do.

Don't throw away all those left-overs from the F8s you receive -- this is what I did with scraps from the 4 Boomerangs I did, as a few pieces from my stash to give me the zise I want.

    Is your name on here?

I have sent out all finished blocks EXCEPT for the following people:

    alikat110
    aully
    deltadawn
    garnet1265
    girlscouts1
    joanelizbay
    kris2011
    lv2sew2011
    nancia

So everyone should have received theirs or will soon. If you have received your block, I hope you like it.

Sending out 3 blocks on Monday. Hoping they don't have to swim out of western Kentucky as we've had so much rain.
