The others are all pieced the traditional way, and all the patterns can be found on Quilter's Cache. Here's a link to all the 12-1/2" (unfinished size) blocks: http://www.quilterscache.com/BlocksbySizeC.html :)
Just remember to use a SCANT 1/4" seam or the Quilter's Cache blocks will come out a smidge too small. I actually cut my pieces about 1mm larger than the instructions say, and it seems to work well for me. I have a hard time doing "SCANT".

Never been sure what a "scant" 1/4" is? Does it mean to make it a "tad" bigger?? Oh....and thank you SO much for the link! I didn't realize you could search by size of block....I really like that site but tend to get lost...LOL!
Also, on the site...the top says they are 12" squares...do they mean finished??
Aw, thanks! But actually, all the ones I've made are easy blocks. The only one that was more complicated was the Courthouse Steps block, and it's only because it has a lot of pieces and just took some extra time. It's paper-pieced, but is super-simple as far as paper-piecing goes.

Yes, the size listed on Quilter's Cache is the finished size. So if it says 12", it's actually 12-1/2" unfinished. :)

Love the blocks so far ladies-keep up the fabulous work!!
And please do not fear "blocks not up to standard". There is no standard here and quite frankly we all started somewhere. We will love what is done because it was done by our friends and it was their thoughts and heart that went in to each one :-)
PS Thanks for helping out moonrise!!! appreciate the encouragement and the link.
Hugs

Lovely blocks.
Good morning All, I received from Brenda 5, Cyndi H, Jtapp9, Katie Ann and Suzi's this Morning.
To all you ladies in California, I am happy to be trading with you. I grow-up in Long Beach and moved arway to Carolina in the 80"s. Boy do I get home sick at time because this coast is not the same as your coast. Plan to return when I retire in about 8 years.
Happy Quilting to all.
