I think it depends on what fabric you are working with. I f I decide on black and white or a low volume back ground than I would prefer a more modern block. If I use more realistic florals, 1930 or Civil War fabric I would prefer a traditional block.

I agree, it depends on the fabric, but I tend to like more traditional fabrics for myself and so I make traditional blocks. Usually.

Love the pansies. I'm gonna have to get a couple of books out and get some ideas. My first swap is starting to make me nervous.

Ladies that were in the last boom I hope you are not overly bored with my fabric. I'll be asking for white or w.o.w. and pink hopefully you will all use at least a small amount of pink to go with the few I received from the last swap.

I knew if I I thought about it long enough I would figre out a way to play too

I like both, the simplicity of the modern look appeals to me and modern color combos.

Thank you guys I would miss this too much I'm glad to be here. . Since it is not going to create another UFO but actually help finish one I would say thats a win win win for me. Kass it's not so much about counting them as much as it is about having a place for them and that overwhelmed feeling I occasionally get when I realize I can't do it all at the same time.
