Thought everyone would enjoy this...

'Twas the night before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas,
And the quilts were not made.
The threads were all tangled, the cookies delayed.
The stocking weren't hung, the pantry was bare.
The poor weary Quilter, was tearing her hair.
Stacks of fat quarters, tipped over in streams.
Visions of Log Cabins, had turned into dreams.

When what to her wondering eyes should appear,
But a bus full of quilters with all of their gear.
They went straight to work with just a few mutters,
Sorting and stitching and brandishing cutters.
The patterns emerged from all of the clutter,
Like magic the fabrics arranged in a flutter.
Log Cabins, Lone Stars, Flying Geese & Bear Tracks
Each quilt was a beauty-even the backs.

Her house how it twinkled, her quilts how they glowed.
The cookies were baking, the stockings were sewed.
Their work was all done, so they folded their frames,
And packed up their needles, without giving their names.
They boarded the bus, and checked the next address.
More quilts to be made, another quilter in distress.

She heard one voice echo, as they drove out of sight,
Happy quilting to all and to all a good night!

OK girls... We are in the last hours of the hard mail date. There are many missing swappers who have not mailed, or who have not contacted me that they mailed.

Please be kind and contact me with your information. If that is you are running late, forgot, whatever. Just let me know what your status is. Okay?

Thank you so much for checking on your package too Teresa! I have a ton of them to check on tomorrow. It helps to have that information.

It is a sweet poem. I am sorry I did not mention that earlier. Quilter's are the best people to have for friends that is for sure.

I do have one suggestion for anyone who hasn't sent yet. You can buy the postage on line at usps.com if you already have an priority flat rate envelope to mail it in. It saves you the cost of the confirmation number because it is seventy cents cheaper that way. Your just print it off, tape it on and then the postman just picks it up the next day from your mailbox.

Well we are down to only twelve gals who haven't contacted me to let me know they sent. I am hoping they get with me this evening. Crossing my fingers here.

Red, isn't the deadline to send ornaments tomorrow the 19th?

Oh, dearie me! I get so turned around sometimes I am not sure which direction I am headed. It's a good thing my package went on it's way 2 days ago.

Although, I just checked on it and it isn't exactly headed in the correct direction yet. This streamlining of the postal system drives me nuts sometimes. My package is zigging before it zags.
