That can be challenging.....and no....I won't be challening that particular skill in the next swap. I know that I put you out of your comfort zone, but even that would send me near the deep edge!

I finished my first set of the Double T's. I used my Triangulations 3.0 disc for the flying geese and they came out great. I wish I could say the same about the centers.

As I do more of the HST and FG, I find that I don't need the foundations as much. But try as I may, I cannot get the tiny stuff (esp the FG) to ever come out correctly due to size & ironing. The HST's I can make & trim down so that gives me wiggle room, but I haven't found a wiggle/trim technique for FG that is consistent (other than the triangulations).
This is the first time I've used the 'stacked' FG template. It worked well but her suggested cutting sizes is a little small. If I barely have 1/8" over the sewing lines, the seam is not going to be very stable. So I had to recut quite a bit. But now, when I do the second set (once it's out of time out) I will know the "correct" sizes to cut and hopefully not have to cut it 8 times like this set.

Here is a blog Barbara Brackman, that is dedicated to Civil War quilts. Since we are getting closer to having our blocks traded it might be fun to take a look and get some ideas on what to do. You can subscribe to it too and get your regular Civil War updates via email.
