SheriR, I mailed my 15 regular and 5 batik twist. You should have it by Thursday. Thank- you SheriR for hosting our swap, now to wait for my 2 packages from here and the birthday swaps. Then I will start making my scrappy candy quilts.
FYI I mailed my package from Hamilton, MO, yes I'm attending a 3 day retreat there. I'm having a great time. Seeing center is a great place to sew. And of course I bought a few items from their stores. Happy sewing and I'll Chat later.

Sorry happylab... Hope you have a nice Labor Day anyway.

I am planning to hole up here at the house for the next two days and just CUT and SEW. There ought to be a Virtual Quilting Weekend this weekend!

Cre8tvlwyr, our youngest was born in the fall of our eldest's senior year of high school. Our 5 year old started school the same semester. The doctor called to say the child was due for shots. I asked the doc "the one getting ready for college, the one starting kindergarten, or the newborn?" They all needed immunizations. We have the oldest of the cousins & the youngest! Even grand kids keep you young, so don't think of yourself as old, just wise to notice that time has given you generational insight.
hugs,
dj

No - never old I was born in Holland - come from a long line of 'near-centurians' although my dad was in his late 50s when he died (a smoker) and I did have a brother who died @61 of pancreatic cancer. My brothers were born just prior to WWII and my parents had me late, when brothers were 13 and 15. I remember Mom being called in to the Catholic grade school office because they had reports of my having 'three dads' .... sometimes it was easier for my brothers to pick me up after school
