December Fabric Postcard swap

MaryMo - sorry you had that experience with your FPC. Good for everyone to know.
For January, I was thinking of Winter as the theme b/c not everyone lives in a snowy region but maybe that's too boring and blah. Any suggestions??

MaryMo, sorry to hear that I have sent some very odd things through the mail with no problems, granted none of them were quilted postcards so I will keep that in mind as I make them and be very cautious with how I construct and stableize them.
Jane, like you I do not live in snow and to me winter theme is an extention of Christmas. I will partipate and do my best to follow which ever theme is chosen but I did find this list online of wacky days in January some of them are national. A couple I thought might be fun are . #4 trivia day, #5 national bird day, #18 Winnie the poo day, #20 penguine awareness day. Just a few ideas we can consider. Some of them while amusing may be difficult to translate to a postcard.
Wacky Days:
1 New Year's Day
2 Run up the Flagpole and See if Anyone Salutes Day
3 Festival of Sleep Day
3 Fruitcake Toss Day
3 Humiliation Day

January is Blood Donor Month, Family Fitness Month and other things associated with Healthy Living (thyroid awareness, cataract awareness etc) ...... maybe all or one of those might spark an interest. These postcards are getting fun to make!

I have never mailed a fabric postcard as is, it's always put in an envelope. I just don't want to take the chance of it getting ruined.

One thought, though, if you're concerned would be to have the postcard hand stamped/canceled at the PO desk then put it in a clear envelope to protect it for mailing. Just a thought - - -
I will consider all the great suggestions and come up with something. I'm glad you're having fun with this!
