New Bee November '17 Swap
November Bee will be a swap. A special Thanks to Sindy Rodenmayer of Fat Cat Designs for the OK to use this pattern.
I thought this would be a fun project for November. My co-hostess is CajunBear, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact either of us. Thank you Betty for your help.
This will be a wall hanging of approximately 26”. You may set them together with a sashing of your choice, or however you wish to set them. The pattern will be emailed to you. Please fuse each to a 9" square background of white solid or white tone-on-tone. When you receive blocks in return, you may trim them to 8.5-inches. Winter Theme Fabrics are to be used to do the dresses . You do not have to applique around them, just fuse them to the center of the background fabric.
You need to make 9 blocks in order to receive 9 in return. You may make all the same or do a variety. The blocks need to be put in Ziploc bag with a label on the outside and inside with your name and mailing address. This is for safety reasons in case your envelope gets torn up, it helps in keeping the blocks together with the address included. If you would like to avoid the nuisance of estimating actual return postage and figuring out how to send that along with your blocks, you have the option of sending one new, extra, Fat Quarter instead. I'll calculate and pay the postage myself in exchange for the fat quarter.
Deadline for mailing will be November 20[SUP]th[/SUP], 2017….it will take about a week to swap them and get them back in the mail. The sooner you mail yours to the hostess, the quicker it will be to do the swapping.
Let’s make these pretty, ladies; this is going to be fun!

This should be interesting. Rookie question - what do you use to fuse the pieces? And when you fuse them, do you fuse each piece or does the shape get put together and then fused? I have never done anything like this and I would like it to come out nice.

I’m not sure how complicated, but I just signed up and sent my e-mail address. I have winter themed fabric, does this include holiday fabric? I asked if we were to post pics of our blocks prior to mailing. I’m waiting answer. Normal swaps you can post pics if we chose to post a pic. It sounds like this could be a little mystery in our projects this time.
One last question? Are we going to get anymore block patterns for December? Just curious, so I can plan my quilt top. I know how I want to complete my top, but not how large yet. I was going to give it to a relative. Not use which one yet. I know we are all busy with the holidays approaching. Plus we have Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt starting November 24, 2017. FYI for members interested.

Happy, you may choose to post a picture after you receive yours, after 1st of December - that's your choice. To others asking for the pattern - this is sort of a 'private' swap this month only. It's for the ladies that have been in the Bee for most of the year. I'm sorry it's not an open swap for now. As far as December is concerned, usually we don't do anything in December, everyone is busy and such. Please do stay tuned tho. ;o)

Sent you my info!
Could you clarify a bit on the 'Winter Themed'? Can it be holiday (like red/white/green) or are you looking more for winter as in blue/aqua/white? I have both, that I think can work. Maybe I could make some of each.
