Well it's looking like I may have to make a replacement for the doll quilt I made. My partner hasn't gotten it yet and it was sent out a couple of weeks ago.if it's not there by Friday I will send a new one out Monday.with all the threads where people haven't been sending things I want to be sure that you know that's not my style.

Crafty3790 posted a picture of the quilt I sent her and one of the quilts I received from her. Now for the rest of the story!! I got two little quilts...one is a blue and yellow flannel rag quilt...I took the picture of the smooth side so everyone can see the those pretty blues and yellow. The second is a scrappy little gem that just appeals to me. Crafty is from Maine and that little quilt with the sea and sky fabrics reflects that. Plus, she sent me a necklace she made herself which was completely unexpected! It's beautiful and it goes with everything. Take a good look at the card that came in the package...she took that herself!!. My coffee cup is sitting on the coaster she made so it didn't get in the pictures. She is a talented photographer, a jewelry maker and a quilter  Debbie, thanks for everything.

Your envelope was postmarked Feb. 16th and I got it on the 23rd so it was only a week plus the fact that it went to the wrong house in the park first and there was no mail delivery on Monday. I know sometimes it seems like forever when you are expecting something or when you are waiting for something to be delivered. But the Post Office came through with flying colors!

I just read this and saw the words 'antique doll bed' and then I look at my mom's doll bed sitting right in front of me. My mom will be 86 this year and the bed was made for her by her grandpa when she was 3. It used to have wheels she said that her brothers broke off and she thinks it may have been painted once. I know I had it and then my daughters and now my granddaughter plays with it. Any suggestions for a quilt or colors? Any sqaure designs that might look nice?

I'm glad they delivered it fine. It always seems longer than it is. Thank you for the compliment.

Wow what a treasure! Ideas for quilts:
1. Crazy, Victorian with lots of handstitching.
2. Simple 9 patch out of shirtings.
3. A broderie perse style.
4. A scrappy using 30's prints--high lighting pinks, yellows, a touch of blue, green, and lavender off set with light colored muslin.--small Dresden plate maybe
5. An Amish style bars quilt using red and blue with the black.

Okay when are you going to start?

Actually the first one that came to mind was one like this.

Have you ever done a biscuit quilt? That would fit nice in the cradle. Moosegirl
