Cro - we'll stay with our original pattern for our May Asian themed blocks.

Starting in JUNE there will be a variation of the pattern for the Chocolate Covered Cherries, so please wait til the swap is posted.

Based on what you said several weeks ago, you were going to repeat the January Swap. So we have all those blocks cut out and I am about to sew them. That is for July. April's I have sent in already. May is Asian and still the same pattern because Cro made hers already. So that leaves June which is chocolate and cherries and that will be a different pattern. August is Christmas fabric and will be different also. Am I clear on that?

I'm not going to change the fabric themes - - - we will be doing what I've posted. As I mentioned, I would really like to offer some new block patterns and variations so I guess I need to know: how far in advance is everyone making these blocks?? I certainly don't want anyone to un-do or waste anything you've already done.

April - original D4P pattern
May - original D4P pattern
June - **** variation **** as long as no one has already made their quilt blocks
July original D4P pattern - Batiks Revisited

Please don't get too far ahead!!!

I'm just getting ready to start May, Asian theme. I slowed down, in the middle of making 2 table runners, 1 spiral runner, 8 placemats, and a whole bedroom set including king size quilt for a customer. I have to make a table runner for a swap too. Will get them done on time though.

I will not make any more until you say what pattern to use. Thank you for making this accommodation.

For our June 'Chocolate Covered Cherries' theme, I think it was Givio who posted a really cool variation of our D4P pattern. Here's a pic:

The idea is this: make one block with pink and a neutral as usual. Make a second block with brown and a neutral as usual. Here's the kicker - - - switch half of each of the 2 blocks so that one block will have 2 pinks and 2 browns. What do you think???

Correction: switch the strip sections between the 2 blocks so you get an 'argyle' effect. Pretty cool, huh?
