Mad pretty much summed it up :-) Those were the ideas going around.
What it is going to be after much input is the first 36 swappers will swap F8s. You then have 3 months to make 36 12.5" blocks. You decide what 12.5" blocks you want to make for the 36 F8s you receive. You can make the same block for everyone or make a different one for each person-your choice. I know the first time I ever did a swap like this I made a different block for each person because each F8 spoke differently to me.
Clear as mud ninnie? :-D Any other questions please ask. Complete, detailed rules and guidelines will be posted on the first.
Thank you all again for your interest in this swap-I know we will have a ball!!
Hugs
April

This is what I am hearing.

Sign up Jan 1st.
First 36 are in.
Send F8 to everyone on the list.
Make a 12.5 block for each person on the list with your fabric and their F8 fabric.
Any block you want to make.
Mail back finished block when done.
All should be done in 90 days.

:-D

Post pictures of received blocks-if you want too :-)

Majority of the people whom I heard from wanted to do the 36 but not a F4 so that is where the final determination came from. I sure hope to see 36 of you (well 35 because I want to swap with you all lol)

The other issue we do not need to be concerned on this one is shipping/postage. Since everyone sends out the F8 and everyone sends the blocks to their recipients, the postage will be a wash. No prepaid envelopes needed. Right?

I think it would be important for the participants to get their F8s out as soon as possible so we will all have the same amount of time to work on the blocks. (Not that we necessarily would - but we could. gggg)

Remind everyone to identify the F8 or F4 you send in so that ot gets returned to you in your square. I imagine it will get kind of confusing when 36 pieces of fabric all show up at one time from all over the place. This is kind of like a boomerang swap -- you send out your fabric and it comes back to you.

Mad,
You are correct no need for return postage :-)

Nancy-
Yup. In the guidelines it tells you to please make sure you put your fabric in a sealed baggy or plastic with your name, address & qbname inside as well so everyone will know whose is whose :-) I like that idea-boomerang :-) Goes out a piece of fabric comes back as a block-how cool!!
