I'm having trouble inserting the photo of the quilt I made with half square triangles. I'll keep trying. In the meantime, I followed this pattern. http://stitchyquiltstuff.blogspot.co...boy-quilt.html
I followed the pattern pretty closely, but I've been wanting to use twice the number of charms so I can make 2 that match. Thought it would be a cute idea for siblings. I would use different colors for each quilt's neutral.

I finished my cutting. I have 6 sets and 6 twists. One of my sets is a print with different toys, many, though not all, of which you might play with at a picnic. I hope people think it qualifies. There is a baseball glove, jacks, a boat for picnics by the lake, a ball, and a tea set for tea party picnics. I also found a really awesome cherry pie print at a quilt shop on Friday.

Ok - sign me up for 4 sets right now - if I can find more fabric may increase my total. I have ordered hotdogs, tacos/quesadilla's (I'm southwestern - what can I say!!), s'mores and I already have ants. so we should have a good picnic assortment.

I really like this quilt - will keep it in memory - I know that I will have a lot of extra squares (hundreds!!) and will make some cuddle quilts for our quilt guild - this is a good idea for some of the smaller all over squares.

I just thought - I have some really gross bug print - flys and ticks and things - so I will do 6 sets and hunt for one more fabric. Sorry owlvamp - I am really making you work keeping up with things! Thanks!

My husband figured out my photo problem! Here is the one I made following the pattern I linked. Hers doesn't have a border but I didn't think mine was big enough without one. Hers says "boy quilt" but I made this before we knew baby's gender. Turned out my friends did have a boy, so it was a boy quilt after all. I did this one before I discovered I Spy swaps, so most of the fabrics aren't I Spy which is part of why I want to make another one. I thought this would be a good project with the small scale fabrics from the twists.
