My first "I SPY" with controlled colors

I'm attaching photo of the very First "I SPY"quilt I made, many years ago... I didn't have many squares, so I fashioned a frame around each one, which allowed me to better control the Color Scheme and the overall layout. I hope youall like it.

What a cute quilt and little boy! I like your idea of adding scrappy borders around each square. The eye has a place to rest between prints and then the prints really stand out. Thank you for sharing. I might try that.

Sorry I haven't been here much the last couple of days. Our DD is due to have our newest DGC any day now. We spent Thursday night all the hospital only to be sent home on Friday morning. I am still trying to play catch-up.
