Owlie, I don't mind getting doubles. We knew we were short a few swappers. (scold) You should not be digging into your modest stash.

I think it is a good idea to hold off for a few months. I am trying to get some different fabric ordered to play with. (just have to wait for the paychecks.) I do have next months ready to mail though. Will get that out soon. I will look for you in October if that is what everyone else goes for.

Thanks Judith! All the blocks are swapped. So Monday they will go out. Be on the look out.

I agree on waiting . Plus with school coming up and everyone getting ready for that. I think we all need a break.

Owlie, I think if I get too many doubles, I will pull a couple for a friend. But, I will resend some back to you for your charity work if that's okay. It will be in my blocks for next month. Clearly labeled for you. I'd like to see them first. Your very generous to take time to do this. Thank you.

Thank you so much for all you do, Owlvamp! I'm definitely ok with waiting since school start up is always an adjustment. If I don't seem like I'm around much, that's why. If you remember, shoot me a pm when you post the sign up. I'll try to remember to look - like I said, it gets CRAZY when school starts!

I'm always fine with doubles. Thanks so much for hosting and for all that you do.

If others are looking for something to do with doubles, here is a matching game I made for a friend's kids. I used 2 different prints of the same object, but the directions I was following actually called for 2 of the same print as a match.

Here is the link to the instructions I followed, though I did 5" squares instead of 4 1/2". I did 12 matches (24 squares total).

I made a mat Ching game like this for my granddaughter. I made a set of foods, a set of games ( sports), animals, and what I called characters (princesses, cartoon characters, books, etc). fun for her and fun for me to do. found out this am at breakfast with them that she is going to be big sister! yeah!

have our quilt guild Cuddle Quilt workshop next weekend, so am looking forward to sharing all of the great charms I have collected.

I can see my typing has suffered on my iPad, but hopefully you get the idea! LOL

Owlvamp, thank you for hosting these! I know it's a lot of work.

I would say I prefer to have 21 swappers before the swap begins. Someone said previously that we knew we had fewer swappers this time, but I don't feel like I can say at the last minute, "Never mind. There aren't enough swappers so I'm not sending in my squares."

I never minded receiving doubles as an inevitable part of swapping, but to tell the truth, I do the swaps intending to get more unique squares, not bunches of doubles to give away.

Is there some way to make the deadline float, depending on how many swappers there are? ("Open to the first 25 swappers"?)

Yes I can make the dead line a little longer and also can wait for at least 21 swappers to close.
I love the idea of doubles Library.Lil.

Okay all packages are gone and on there way to your home. Thanks everyone!!
