International and USA/Canada Round Robin II GROUP INFO is OUT!!

I found a world map on ebay! 36in x 60in, cotton, $8.99. I actually Googled Fabric World map and found several that seem to be offering the same print, it is VERY bright, but as part of a backing, well only you would know it's there, right?

Just a word of warning when looking for world maps - if you are looking for a political map, which you would be if you want countries labelled on it - you probably want to make sure it is current. There are a lot of maps out there that have countries labelled with names no longer used, or boundaries that have been re-drawn. I know in this fast-moving age it might be difficult, but they are out there! You might have luck looking through sites that cater to teachers.

excuse me, you're a duck not a chicken!
you can't back out now you've posted - so that means you're in.
this is a "fun" challenge not a "blue ribbon" challenge - if it was like that you'd suck all the pleasure right out of the round robin.

Hey! You were knocking on my head!!
I just went through the pictures of the last IRR and it made my stomach cinch up. Lord, all that beautiful applique and piecing. I know I'm downplaying my work, but very truthfully, I've seen what so many of you others can do. I'd be afraid of not doing it justice. **cough, cough, I may get too sick to do one. cough, cough**
I probably will go ahead with this, but I want to think a little while longer.

LOL
i'll leave you to think about it but i'd love for you to do it - i don't think its a pressure filled thing.
its just fun and in the end you'll have a global project that reflects the quilting styles from around the world.

Right this is for Ducky, please donīt "duck" out. Let me say this. All the rounds are not fancy. some only need a border. Say your round comes to you and you have no idea, try framing it with different materials, let the colours in the quilt appear in your border. thats all that is needed. However you could just put in a corner, a pineapple block or a log cabin.
It only needs to be something you are comfortable with.
Now can I put your name down. I understand you would opt for International. Please confirm we would love to have you on board and this is NOT a competition it meant to be fun and a way to socialise with people from all over the world, not only thatm you will have a beautiful quilt at the end of it.
Okay, now I need your address, name, email and telephone which is for emergancy use only, only known to Sandpat and myself.

Well done Ninnie. Please join us, and persuede Ducky to come in too! I have never done a RR before, in fact I have never worked on anyone's quilts except my own, and it worries me too, but I dearly want to be part of this, and have a great memory at the end of it. I have even ordered a fabric map to put on the back of mine, so that I can chart its progress around the world (the map isn't compulsory, I hasten to add).
And I think it's a good idea that we always post to the same person, and they always go in the same direction, if that can be managed (though I don't know who would want to follow my efforts). I think someone else said a circular route might make more sense than a zig zag one.
