thanks. the eyebrow on the right side could have been better but i just can't pull every piece off to fix it.
thats the downside to paper piecing - you just don't realize its not lining up until everything is locked in place.
i'll fix it on the other one i have to make.
maybe that one will have red lipstick and purple eyeshadow.

I've just sent Sandpat a message commiting to the round robin. I've been following this thread for days and have hesitated because of my newbie skills. But you've all been so encouraging to everyone that I'm going to take a deep breath and jump in.
My quilt will not be R-18! Sorry. Likely some plain old floral approach. I have 3 different thoughts for the center. I've been mulling ideas over on my drive to and from work every day for the past week. Guess I finally realized my heart really wanted me to try this! I'm looking forward to it!

welcome teacup
its exciting to have you join the group. i'm so glad you decided to jump in with both feet - this is certainly a swap that newbies can have a lot of fun with.
i just love collaborative projects - its just so exciting to see how other people expand on your idea.
my DH is a musician and this is a very common practice among his friends and colleagues.

It ought to be fun. I think I'm going to do a quilt for our bedroom. I've got some fabric I bought about ages ago but I've never started it. I fell in love with a fabric in the Hancocks of Paducah catolog, and on a trip to Kentucky four years ago I made my first visit to the store. I found some pieces of it on their remnant table. I've wanted to do something with it for the longest time but couldn't decide what to make. I'll let you all help me decide!

Great idea! I'll see if I can do that this weekend. My camera is tied up all day Saturday with a family member but I'll see what I can do on Sunday. I have an idea, just not sure how to execute it. I may have one pattern in one of my books that will help. I'm going to my sewing room now to hunt for it, if I can remember what book it was in.
