yes, I also agree... having zoomed in further I can now see the green in the centre block. This does complement it well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Make that 3 for green outside purple inside ;-) But I think it would look good either way. The curved flying geese is a nice addition.

Lol- Since you are the next person! But that is the same thought I had, that the green would help transition it from purple to other colors. The only thing I didn't like about the green was then I can't use the greens/yellows of the KF prints and I really wanted to bring those colors in.

Then the "duh" moment happened, They only don't look good because there would already be a big amount of green/yellow, so I don't need to use them to bring more of that color in.

I like the green and purple also. Can't wait to see the finished round.

here is another progress pic - got all the pieces cut so the next step is to start sewing them to the paper. With 8 sections it should go pretty fast. I chain stitch them too, sew one seam on all 8 strips then press and repeat. I made "Catch Me if You Can" quilt so this small project is pretty easy. I've got another JDJ pattern I'd love to start, but this year is going to be a UFO year and see how much fat (fabric in totes) I can reduce.

*most of my UFO's are in totes in assorted stages of completion. I decided it's time to stop buying more totes and try to empty some of the existing ones.

Macybaby, the flying geese are coming along nicely! I got your border completed today...I hope you like it! The gold is a little more prominent than I intended...the dark green was to go along with your dark color request...

mmonohon, I will be going to town on Thursday and can mail if you are ready for it or I can wait until Feb since we are way ahead of our Feb 15th due date...let me know.

Have4boys, I got your Moose block in the mail today....perfect timing. I have tomorrow as a home day so will narrow down my block ideas/pick fabrics and can get something if needed at the quilt shop when I am in town Thursday.
