I love the banter than runs through this thread, and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did this month.

There sure have been some beauties this month! And there are a lot more to see according to my list. Woo hoo! The deadline to mail was July 30, so we'll be seeing a bunch more. I know I can't wait! If you've received a quilt but not been able to post about it or post a picture, please let me know. That's how I mark off that everyone has received a quilt.

If you are running late, please let your partner know. A lot of us stalk our mail people waiting for these little creations to arrive. I start sending out reminder PM's in a couple of weeks, so let's all communicate any delays so no one is disappointed and they know they weren't forgotten. We all understand about life happening.

The August swap turned out to be our largest, so I assume everyone is having fun. I sure am!

Long live the doll quilt swap!

Chele, the swap boss

Thanks for a lot your time put into organizing this swap it is greatly appreciated

All the quilts I have seen so far are great.
Lots of hard work and thought goes into each and every one of them.

I can almost guarantee you'll learn things if you join this swap. These little quilt swaps give everyone the opportunity to try new things, learn, practice techniques, etc. Use these swaps as experiments and learning lessons. Believe me, no one will mind. I tried some freezer paper applique today. Not the best results, but I've been wanting to practice applique techniques. I'm not going to master anything this month or this year, but at least I tried it. So try something! You might like it!

That's what is so great about quilting, there is always a new pattern, technique or way to try. Never ending learning in a fun, usable, format. I love it.

Sapdoggie didn't get an opportunity to take a picture yet, so she said I could post pics of the quilt I made for her.

The whole quilt - 24" x 24"

MistyMarie, you are no longer a doll quilt swap newbie. You have to join every month now. What a great quilt!

With each doll quilt I have received, I can see that the quilter has put 100% + into their creation. And, while I don't acomplish perfect every time, I do like to try a different technique each month. I am really broading my quilting skills. I think that is a big part of this swap. More importantly, I am meeting new people. And it is fun following some of my past partners and seeing the quilts they make for others each month. And the best part is that I am having FUN! Thanks Chele, you are doing a great job.
