What I do, any some others here, is take a fat quarter and cut in the middle. This should give you 2 pieces that measure 9 x 22. Does this make sense?
    I'm sending you a pm.
yep i cut mine the other way 18" x 11". i will see if i can find some other fabrics.

if by chance you have my name, you may send me the 11X18 pieces for this swap. It doesn't matter to me at all since I will be using for scrap quilting
sorry I didn't see this earlier

same comment as above for me ... I'm not picky about exact size, just need pieces for scrap quilts. I only get annoyed if total amount of fabric is a lot less than expected (like 8 x 18 or 10 x 16). I usually add extra fabric to my pieces or add extra fabric; I got (what's another word for "pissed off"?) when my partner sent a lot less fabric than expected. but I haven't had to swap with that quilter again ...

I am also fine with either size, and also agree that the main thing is to get the right "total amount"...I feel that if you are sending the correct amount, you should get at least that back...and if someone can't send right amounts then just don't sign up to swap...I also try and send a little extra, actually have thought when cutting mine and re-checking sizes that I want to make sure I don't "short change" anyone...I certainly don't want to be "that gal" anyone is "highly peeved with"...

Including my side swaps from the postage stamp swap, I sent 12 packages on Monday - thank you very much! I did not see a limit and I wanted to "refresh" my stash. What my fellow quilters have is way more interesting than anything you can find in a store!

Heads up - I found the swap on Curious Quilter's page and am getting my squares together for that!

this is the way to do it. i was thinking about that myself which is why i joined at the very last minute. what better way to get different fabrics. and no you do not have a problem. i am on a no fabric buying moratorium so swapping is the best way for me to add to my stash.

a couple of us board postage stamp swappers are in the curious quilters swap. i truly hope someone from overseas such as sweden or germany gets my name. there is a yahoo postage stamp group. i just missed their swap but there is another one in october. maybe i will see you there.

Great fabrics posted so far! Just FYI to all, I will be mailing out my 2 sets in the morning, I have had them ready for a bit, but mine and dh only "child" (our son, who will be 27 in a week, so term child is used loosely...lol) our son was married yesterday, so I have been in looney tooney-er than usual mode! So please know the fabrics are on their way...one is heading to someone I have swapped with prior...the other is a "newbie"...
