Thank you R-sea for taking the time to post it. I just don't understand how it works. Wouldn't a straight fabric ruler work? The picture is a nice clear shot.

Here's a summary of the ruler, but since I don't paper piece, I don't really understand how it works either :-)

  • Designed to help determine how big to cut fabric pieces when paper piecing.
  • The perfect tool for paper piecing! Never cut short again!
  • Works great to trim off excess fabric.
  • You no longer have to cut a piece of fabric and hope it is large enough to fix.
  • May also be used in place of a postcard or template plastic to trim off the excess fabric.

I started working on a paper pieced runner for this swap. I don't get how that ruler would help. I'm more of a visual learner. Give me a video anytime. lol. Thank you for posting the summary though.

Add enough - I have the 1/4" add enough ruler & I use it for half square triangles not paper piecing. I actually have a 1/4" ruler meant for PP but not sure what it is called. Try the google route - hope you can find a use for it!
