Here is the little quilt I am sending to zjsquiltymomma. It's all made of tie silk. It's very "swanky" looking. I did some tiny little embroidery stitching for the quilting. Hope you like it, Jenni!!! It was fun to make. The colors are much more rich and pretty in person.

Vbourck -- you're very welcome, and I'll be looking out for your quilt to come.
----------------------------------
By-the-way to everyone else - vbourck is going on a mission trip to Africa and will be teaching widows to sew while there. She had asked me if I would mind if she took some of the goodies I sent her to pass out -- which I thought was great. Maybe if you have some extra notions laying around you might consider making a small donation to her stash. I imagine that every pin or needle or pin cushion will make a difference. Just a thought, but a very worthy cause.

Thank you, ladies. At this point I think I have plenty, but will consider it for future trips. I have a whole suitcase full of sewing notions that are very hard for the widows to obtain-scissors, pins, elastic, zippers, buttons etc. all donated by friends. They mostly want to sew clothes that can be sold to support themselves. And they do it all on treadle machines that are shared by a community. Here is a photo of me with the group I worked with last year.

Those are fantastic pictures -- are you sure there isn't something we can do or send stuff? The look on their faces says it all. They're so happy -- not at all like me when I try to make clothing.

They really do look happy. Thank you for caring and sharing your talents and the supplies with them. I'm sure there are a lot of us who would love to share some things with them. Let us know what you need, when, and we will send!!
