I think that mug rug that is exploding stars is a great quilty idea! the little blocks on the side are done beautifully also. then there is the mug rug that ctyankee got in. wow! what a treat that was for you. the most unusual block I have seen in a long time here. looks like lots of work! some real beautiful and different quilts here. amazing as always! imagine these things done in a large scale! a whole quilt of those blocks and that quilting! wowsa.

ok Lynnie we had that creamer too growing up. I used to think it looked likeit was spitting up your milk lol but did it stop me from using it. carefully. Mom really loved her cow creamer and it was something she put out for special occasion. I could never decide did I want one.. nor not want one lol. its a love hate thing I guess for me. I love cows boy do I love cows but not sure on the creamer. Now cookie jars? the cow is adorable with special guest. I always wanted one with a chick on its head .. the vintage cookie jars can be addicting sigh. We had a gingerbread cottage like Hansel and Gretel's house growing up. all cookies all around it. touch it and you would die. I would sneak on a chair to get into that cookie jar up on the fridge. I was a sugar holic back then and that was were the homemade goods were. lol. boy you did NOT want to get caught.. .I would love a cookie jar like that again. would probably have to kill the kids and grand kids if they touched it. sigh. guess no cookie jars for me. I don't like jail. lol. mine was from the 50's I think.

My cow collection started with receiving a white cow creamer from my husband on our first Christmas together 31 years ago this Christmas. (I now have several cow creamers -- all slightly different.) When the kids were little, I poured milk into the original cow creamer & then I poured the milk from the creamer into their cereal bowls. I know, kind of complicated, but I was trying to be supermom. (Never got it right, by the way.)

I also have a cow cookie jar with a yellow chick on it's back.

I really should make a cow quilt, huh?

You would never believe it BUT, this weekend we did a lot of moving and cleaning out of my mom's place ,(mom passed away a couple of weeks ago), and we found one of the cow creamers in the back of her china cabinet, I had never or my brother or sister, seen this cow creamer before in my 58 years, lol
