Yes Candi I'm not sleeping yet, and it must be in anticipation of what you'll be sending. I'll try to post a pic of one of my rugs tomorrow. I've been working on them today to try to finish them. Still a little bit to go yet.
abd... yours are amazing. So how did you do the citrus- with paint?

I'm no expert but I'm finding that I start off larger than the 9" round and then cut it down to the prescribed size before binding. Some of my pieces have turned out a bit wonky but those are rejects for this project. Keep experimenting and you'll find what works for you.

My method is SUPER technical!
I traced a dinner plate.

(my blocks started out about 12" square...I used the plate to sort of fussy cut the part of the block I wanted to feature AFTER I quilted it.)

here's a little surprise for you. lynnie was worried she was too late to sign up to swap so i offered to swap with her if she didn't get in. when she did make it into the swap, we decided to swap anyway, and our rule was-- anything but square. i hope you'll agree these are definitely 'outside the box'! these are 3 of my mr's for lynnie, and the 4th one is a teaser for my partner who has yet to answer any of my pm's or e-mail, but i'm still hoping!

nancia, they are gorgeous and I live just near the beach (less than 5 minutes walk) so I see these all the time when I take my walks on the beach.

Love the breakfast one too, if your partner doesn't respond to your pm....
