LJDugas: Mailed my quilt to you today! You should have it by the end of the week.

I like the idea of the theme for April, although I have no idea what I will do yet.....

Krystyna: I hope that we'll have an emphasis on making little quilts for AAQI in May, the anniversary month for the DQ swap. I am more than willing to help with that, however you wish.

If anyone wonders why I quilt for AAQI, please look at the thread Everose started in the PDA Forum. My thoughts are with the Alzheimer's patients, but more than that, with their family members and friends. Sorry, now I'll jump down from my soapbox!

Crazy Quiltin Robin, what a gorgeous little quilt you got from Muv, love the colours and that pattern always looks so neat in scraps.

Hello Robin - so glad you like it! It's always a relief when a quilt finally arrives after a long journey! I'm looking forward to seeing what little gem you have made for me...

Hello Needlegrammy - look hard and you should recognise two fabrics that I used in the doll quilt I sent you... Oldcatlady - you will recognise even more!

Krystyna - thanks! I love that tiny check, I used it for the binding on the quilt for Catrancher.

Is this a theme coming on - use fabrics in a quilt for your previous partners to spot?

My first challenge this month was to use up tiny scraps from my scrap jar, so I did the centre with paper piecing.

My second challenge was free motion quilting, which I did on my Singer 15K treadle. Gosh that was fun!

I've posted pics of the quilt on the thread Quilts Made Using Vintage Machines - I used three different machines altogether. Also, it's a good place to advertise the doll quilt swap!

Muv, have you done a video on FMQ on your treadle? You must be awfully well coordinated - like an organist using both hands and feet.
Interesting theme idea. Will put it on the list.

The Sunbonnet Sue is so cute. I am almost finished with my March quilt. Ready to put the binding on. I will finish it up in Australia and send it off to Oowee along with some Australian goodies. I have already started on the April quilt. I love it and will have to make one for me. I did all the sewing part of it as I won't have a machine in Australia and I have left all the hand work to be done down t here. (Lynnie maybe is my partner??????) Who ever I get will be surprised.
