I started sewing my nine patches yesterday. I had picked up a little solid fabric to go with the Kaffe Fasset fabrics. Well guess I will just have to stack them up for the next one or make a quilt for myself.
Moonrise, you so speedy.
Have fun everyone. Will pop in and visit the pretty blocks you make.
Shoot... and we miss out on your Kaffe Fassetts! I'm sorry you didn't make it in... I just saw myself drowning in swap blocks. People were signing up 3 and 4 a day! If it was a bag-for-bag swap, no problem... but I'm going to have to open every bag and swap every block. Let's hope I don't lose my mind!

QuilterMomma, please make along with us. You can use them for your own quilts, or save them for the next time we swap. You can still show your progress and chat with us, as can anyone who didn't make it into the swap and wants to use this thread as a sew-along, instead.

Libster, very cute blocks!

And Billi, I really love the last 3 you showed. They are inspiration for us, in using two different prints, not particularly color-coordinated. Remember I said that the checkerboard will "integrate" two unlike prints, so they look cute together. The magic of the checkerboard! Billi's last 3 blocks are the perfect illustration of this.

Who knew 9 patches could be so much fun?

Libster, Billi, & Evie~ Great blocks. I’m liking all of the colors! Billi, I haven't seen an ugly block yet.
I’ve started my blocks. I think I have about 35 so far.

Thank you for the clarification. It makes it easier when working with scraps. I am definitely looking forward to getting some of the lovely blocks that have been posted. Fun!

DHenson, such pretty blocks! My favorite is the green one with the leaves in the first/top picture, I've always loved those colors together.

I'm loving all the shared pictures! It's such fun seeing everyone else's scraps.

I'm still working on mine, but I got kind of 9-patched out over the weekend and turned to some applique for a day. I should be back on board soon!

Good morning. I see lots of beautiful blocks being made I’d be thrilled to receive any of them. I stayed up later than usual last night and made up four new color combinations. I have 8 of one, 3 of another, whatever my scrap strips permit. I’m up to about 35 but I want to keep some so there are about 30 to pass along. So much fun! Hope you like these.

Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Also, Billi, recognize the green block’s lighter fabric? . Only have 2 or 3 of those.

Cheesehead, the fun part about using scraps is remembering what the fabric was used for. I made table runners for my daughter’s bridal shower with the green & floral fabric used in the block you like. Great memory.
