Mary a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
It was nice seeing your son.
That is always the best gift of all.

I have one son and daughter in law, and they both mean the world to me.

I have one son and he's 43. I just saw him today as I had to do his errands while he waited for the gas company. Yesterday they had no heat and no hot water and today no gas for the stove. So they have a whole crew replacing gas pipes. What a mess. They said they had to do a lot of repairs because of the winter. Then I had to pick up my granddaughter at school. I finally have almost no snow left in my yard and I can see some hyacinths coming up. I saw them a few months ago and then they got buried and I thought that would be the end of them but nope they are coming up. It was 65 today but 42 tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a great day

My pkg is on it's way.. I admit it's taken me longer to get to town to the post office more than anything.
Told dh I don't know when I got to be such an old fuddy duddy hermit. I could stay home for weeks and never go to town! Well except food is a necessity...lol.

We have no lakes or rivers around here to dye..closest lake is about an hour away. We've been in such a drought, not much there, either.

There is a town about 100 miles from me, Shamrock, Texas. Every year they have a big St. Patrick's Day Festival.
Our newspaper publishes pics and a write up on it every year. They have the "Miss Irish Rose" contest, the "Donegal" contest- the winner has the best Irish beard..lol..

Just for you, Lynnie Here's a pic of last years winners:

Anyway, it's a big "to-do" around these parts..

Mary, That's sweet! My two Vietnamese kids both put their green on today, too!

Actually, my VM daughter who loves all things celtic, claims to be a "Platypus" as well, not one thing but a totally cool mixture of many things. lol
