It is a laminated cotton, very light weight. and washable in the washer the flowers are about the size of a small apple maybe 3-4". They ( Justlaminates on Itsy). sells lots of really pretty laminates. I just bought this as my first laminate to ever sew. Like I said I'm gonna make a lunch bag for my daughter. Lots of new things going into it that I have never done. Draw strings with the little plastic slider catch on the strings, sewing with laminates etc.I might even try a zipper pocket on it. I will diffinately show you how it comes out. Good or bad.lol

Mary that fabric is so pretty. I know you, and it will turn out so pretty.

Pat my dad always wanted to get some homing pigeons, but he never got around to it.

Mary, that fabric is so so prety. I never saw such a pretty fabric and laminated too. It looks like a field of petunias or something like that. can't wait to see what you come up with. It will turn out nicely, all your work does.

Mary, one suggestion that might make it easier to sew is to use tissue paper so it slides under the foot. Or, if you plan to do more than one item, get a teflon foot for your machine. I bought mine from Nancy's Notions and I have no problem with sewing oilcloth! And I've made 3 lunch bags and used vinyl for "windows" in luggage tags and bags and such. It sure makes it frustration free to sew those types of material!

Melanie, I've heard of using tape on the bottom of the presser foot,I'm going to try that first. I don't know how many times I will make something using the laminate so I don't want to buy a new foot if I don't have to.I have had lots of trouble sewing the clear plastic in wallets. That's how I heard about the tape idea. Thanks for your suggestion. I will write it down for the future.

Here's my new babies. They just got home from a 15 mile drive and are tired and camera shy. There are 10 chicks 4 different breeds.they're about 3 days old. All pullets or that is what they are suppose to be.
