Thanks for commiserating with me ladies, it is helpful to know that others do the fretful thing too!

It ended up being an easy fix, thankfully! I have set my basket aside (hidden) so I do not find something else to obsess over!

There are so many basket tutorials available online that I am going to try another "flavor." These are a bit addicting!

Thank you Susan

My basket doesn't have a handle. is it required?
I saw a lot on pintrest that didn't have one.
Hmmm, now i'm wondering. I think it looks better without.

I was going to make one without a handle. More like a bowl I guess. But can we call a bowl a basket?? I'm not hung up on correct definitions! And yes, many of the examples I've seen do not have handles.
As a not so famous speller from Arizona once said, "Potato, potah-toe" (channeling Dan Qayle)

It's your design! Baskets come in many shapes and sizes. With handles and without. You are the Artist!

I have found a pattern I like, and it has no handles.

Sign ups close Monday evening.
We have 13 so far. That's cool that "baskets" did scare too many of us off!
