Star, don't sell yourself short!!! The little quilt you sent me is great and one of my favorite doll quilts!! I love the little quilt you made for me. It makes me smile every time I look at it. It has such a great selection of the colors that I like. You did a great job on it!!! The D9P is my favorite quilt pattern. I've been going up to complete strangers in fabric stores and telling them about how neat D9P is, and how to do it!!! Now, if that's not kind of crazy, I don't know what is!!! :)
And mine quilt has it's share of mistakes. Maybe the fabrics I chose hides them. If you look closely, you will notice I'm not the greatest on the points. But then, we are all in this for fun, not perfection. If we were, they'd have kicked me out a long time ago.
Thanks for posting the pictures of our quilts. That's one thing I can't do yet.

I love your little D9P, I have not tried that yet, and I'm going to. I like your straight all-in-same-direction setting, mostly I've seen the other way of setting them back to back. Wonder what other ways they can be arranged, hmmmmm..........

Just make 2-3 different 9 patches and cut them up and play with the arrangements you come up with. I made quilts for my twin GD with the D9P, and then put then together and appliqued bugs and animals on the larger squares. They turned out very cute, if I do say so myself. For a quicker way of seeing what would happen, just color a couple of 9 patch blocks on paper, cut them and see what you can come up with. It can be a planned quilt of 3 colors, or a very scrappy one with a lot of color. Try it and play with the blocks after they are cut. Just 1/4 turn using the original 9 patch cut makes it look completely different.

I think both quilts are great too. And I am adding wonkyness to my vocabulary. Today I will use it in a sentence at least 3 times.

I thought yours had a great primative look to it--too often we get caught up in perfection and forget to look at the antique quilts that are still around to see their wonkyness. Gladie
