Dee, I know but i'm so swamped with the mess in the sewing room
and having to make all these placemats, towels, napkins and hotpads, I need to get some of that done so I can join in next month. it feels weird not joining. I've been in it from the start. you're not getting rid of me that easily. I'll br lurking around. Can't wait to see what the newbies think up. I love to see new things(and old).

I have someone from Australia who might want to join. If she is interested in swapping with someone in the US, is there someone who would be willing to swap with her? Let me know soon.

Yum, that cake does look good enough to eat. Thank you all for the b-day wishes. It's been a great day...opening envelopes for the b-day candy swap I'm in this year, lots of phone calls from good friends and family, going out to dinner with hubby Bill, flower's from my sons and I've been sewing on a bargello that I've wanted to make forever. Here's my progress so farThank you again for making this day very special

wow, the color shading looks like it was dyed, in parts it's hard to tell
that there are other pieces. It's amazing how well you did that. the
only place where I can see seams is the stark white. How did you do it
so well, the color variation?!?!?! beautiful!

Well I have returned. Of course a day late for sign ups. I wasn't sure if I would be able to swap, so I thought I would wait, but at the last minute I had an emergency and missed the sign ups. I'll wait til next month. My new baby puppy got bit by my daughter's male poodle. The puppy must have pulled his fur or nipped him with those sharp puppy teeth while they were playing. The poodle is a whimp. He went crazy biting the puppy. When I finally got him off the puppy, blood was gushing from his nose and his eye was swelling. The puppy was screaming, I have never seen so much blood coming out of little nostrils. I took a cold wet wash cloth and held it to his nose and it finally stopped. In the meantime I felt like I was going to pass out. I had to call a friend to drive me to the vet. It made me so sick that the puppy was hurt, I vomitted twice and felt like passing out again. I guess I am the whimp. I thought for sure the puppy was going to die, or have to have his eye removed, or had a neck injury. Our vet is an hour away. The vet checked him over and found a puncture wound at the back and lower part of his head. She numbed and stained his eye for scatches. He did have a scratch on his eye and she believes the tooth missed the eye and bruised the inside lower lid causing the swelling. He has to be on antibiotics, pain meds and have eye ointment. I thank God it was not as bad as it could have been. The puppy weighs 3 lbs 10 oz and the poodle is about 52 lbs. Quite a difference in size and weight. On May 8 we are going to have my FILs committal service. It seems like problems never end. I will keep checking in and Sign up early for next month's swap. Lynnie I will see if I can post pic in the next couple of days. Mary I will try making the panties, do you enlarge them when you make yours?
