Buslady's mini that I made her shows delivered yesterday also, so I am glad. She has been very busy. Unfortunately, I did not have a hanger for hers. I would like to learn how to make some, but would need to get some wire. Now that I think of it though, I could have made a little fabric or ribbon hanger with the buttons on the front connected to the mini like in the one little picture, but I also didn't want to do that in case the other one had their own way of wanting to hang it. So I just left it alone. lol....

I looked at mini quilt hangers yesterday at the big "Christmas in July" sale at the local (huge) fabric store. $25 was more than I could spare tho. Sigh. Well they will still be there when I am ready!
As far as suggestions for a theme for August....."Back to School"? Or "Dog Days of Summer?"
Just my $.02 worth!

I am like you MizMelly, I don't have it to pay that much. I don't know for sure, but buslady had bought some medium weight wire, and said she was playing around with trying to make a hanger, so that may be what she did.

I am fine with whatever everyone decides on the next theme.

why not just make little hooks on top to run a hanger through? lots of people here have hangers also you could put it on the back 2.5 " running should cover any type of hanger.

I suggest fall. There is so many ideas to chose from: starting school! falling leaves! ghosts? so many things to chose from depending on your partners wishes or perhaps your whimsical desires! of course any topic you should chose will make for a fun wall hanging. Its a terrific creative outlet for all of us

August in the Midwest is busy with state and county fairs, and the vegetable gardens are ready to be picked for canning or freezing. My thought is something like 'a day at the fair' or the 'fruits of our labor'.

Our county fair opens today! Love to go in and look at the quilts etc., get an indian taco and our garden is producing again. Everyday it's either green beans (last night was 1 1/2 gal.), peas, strawberries, raspberries or digging those new red potatoes. The chickens are finally laying eggs and we're getting 4-5 a day. This is an every night thing now for the next 6 weeks or so but it sure is great all winter long. Thank heaven my husband likes to be a farmer too.

Jaba, nothing is more delicious than fresh new red potatoes!! It's a lot of work keeping up a garden but the rewards of having that food through the winter far outweigh the work involved. We haven't had a garden in years and now I settle to just go to the farmers market to purchase my fresh veggies. Can't wait for the zucchini to be harvested, I make and freeze dozens of loaves of different kinds of zucchini bread.
