Last week Monstookie sent me my very first mug rug for my first ever Mug Rug Swap. Debbie made a most beautiful and eye pleasing mug rug. She also made a rope bowl to hold an assortment of teas she sent me. THANK YOU soooo much. I love the colors she chose, the pattern and the lime green binding she put on. It is sitting on my side table next to our double reclining love seat. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Debbie, how did you know I was a tea drinker? My DH and I have tea to start out each day before breakfast. Can't wait to try the teas you sent. :-D

Sorry, my camera didn't pick up the brightness of the mug rug. It is so much prettier in person.

I love the pattern of the fabric strips!

    Love the quilting!

    Isn't that the cutest.... ?

The bowl is such a thoughtful addition to the mug rug!

As if I wasn't already spoiled by my first mug rug, today Mamaskeeto's mug rug arrived with so many goodies. She spoiled me with lots of teas, some instant coffees and a LARGE Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar. Wow. Looking forward to trying the instant coffee latte in the morning.

Thank you Kathy, I love the little prints in your mug rug and your quilting. It will sit on my computer table where I also drink tea and coffee. You have made my first mug rug swap be such a treat.

Your mug rug and Monstookie's will be in the mail very soon. Hope you like them. :-D

    Aren't those little prints cute?

Really pretty mug rugs. Do you have to have a pattern? They look like tiny quilts. What goes in the middle of them? I really like them. Never heard of mug rug before.

Hi, no you do not have to have a pattern and usually they are about 6" x 9" or somewhere around there. Some are larger, it is sorta what you like. Some people use thin batting and some, I think don't have any batting in the middle. They are cute, aren't they? :-D

I got my other mug rug in the mail yesterday... and finally got a chance to post the pictures of both.

The first is from JSNOMORE....and boy did she get my colors right...I love these bright colors. and she used a wonderfully bright rainbow thread for the quilting and the binding which adds wonderful accents.

The other is from Kathy N. and is just tooo beautiful. There is a wonderful matching mug and the rug has an embroidered panel to match that is just gorgeous. It is perfect for a nice cup of tea.

    Wonderfly bright one from JSNOMORE

Linda, I am sooooo happy that you liked the Mug Rug and Basket. I really enjoyed making them. I wish we were closer also so we could share a cup of tea together. BTW....my favorite tea is the Red Roobis.

Mamaskeeto, I love the retro fabrics in your rug.

Once again, let me say that everyones Mug Rugs are just great. This was a lot of fun. Hope to do it again.

    Thanks. I'm a 1930's fabric junkie.
