Thanks ... OK ... is it fine for a swap? Or should I do something else? The points aren't perfectly lined up ... also, should I do more quilting?

I have quilted a border all the way around it - hard to see in the pic. The only quilting I have done is on the squares of the "windows" ... should I add more quilting?

    Thanks all!

I love the quilting that you have already done. I think it would be nice whether you did any more quilting or just left it alone. It's just that pretty!

Marion, your WH is so lovely. It would look just perfect above my sink -- just saying, mind you.

Well ladies just checking in!! We will soon be coming to the count down on this swap!! Just 6 weeks to go!

Make sure you let me know when your wall hanging is ready to mail!!

As a reminder for those who are new -- I will be sending out addresses at midnight on the last day of February!!
If you are NOT on the ready to mail list you wont get an address!!

I will post the ready to mail list around the middle of Feb so you can make sure you are on that list. the sign up at the beginning of the swap is only for fun and to see who is interested. It is NOT the ready to mail list!!

Hope you all are having a tolerable winter! We haven't had alot of snow so far this year in Iowa. I hope we don't have any deep snows or ice storms!!

Have a Quilty Good Time everyone!!

    Hi J.
So glad for your good news. You always come through! I have been down for a long winter nap. I really don't like winter.

I snuggled down in the studio and have dumped all my scraps on the tables, mountains of light and dark scraps. I figure if I see them I have to do something with them. So, There are now two log cabins in the work at the same time. One is very traditional, red center and 1.5 strips, two light and two dark going around 4 times and is 11.5" sq.

The second one is in a clam shell pattern using all the bits from the bigger pattern. This one is more complicated and uses both 1.5" strips and 1" strips to create a curve. Four 6.5" units to a block that is 12.5".

The plan is to alternate making a traditional and clam shell block so as much gets used up as possible on the first go round. These will be big quilts. Will decide what to do with the remains after these two are done. Busy, busy, busy!
    peace

Well, my tables are really overflowing with bits and pieces and there is progress on the two quilts but the piles have not diminished noticeably yet. There are more finished blocks than this shows.

Ube those are great. I love log cabin blocks. I am considering a bird theme for my WH.
