My partner in the DQ swap, Sheila Elaine, and I have both received our packages as of today, so I ripped into mine to see what I got. And I must say that Sheila Elaine exceeded all my expectations! :D
I know, I know, "Shut up and post the pics!" O.k., here we go...
Here's a pic of the front of the quilt. Ain't that just too cute. I love the applique on it and the little guy fishing in the pond is just perfect for my taste.

Here's a close-up pic of the little girl applique:

A close-up of the little guy fishing. Notice the fish are little embellishments sewn on.

Neat label on the back:

And she threw in some extra goodies, too! A nice little pin cushion (I think I'm going to start a collection :) ), and some pretty holiday charm fabrics. I've already got a pillow in mind for these.

Thank you, Sheila! Being your partner in this DQ swap was a LOT of fun! :D
Sheila asked that I go ahead and post pics of what I sent her as well. So below are the pics. I made her a Fall hotpad as well, but forgot to take pics of it before sending it off with the quilt  Anyway, here's some pics of the DQ that I made her. I made it with 1930's reproduction fabrics in a traditional pattern (4-patch with hourglass blocks). I hope she likes it!

More lovely quilts, I just keep having to come and see what has been arriving. I have a book on the circle techniques, but had to go and look at the video. What reall caught my attention was the Brooklyn Revolver - I want one...... I thought I wanted the Olfa turning mat, but this one with ball bearings looked even better.
