I'm so glad that it finally got there. I was beginging to think it was lost in the mail. Thanks for taking the picture of it and the extra stuff. I appreciate it. I'm glad that you like it and the crocheted items I enclosed. I like to crochet, and in fact did that before I started quilting.

I never thought of it being sherbet colors, but I guess it is. I just liked the cheery colors. Maybe the little quilt will be a bright spot of color in the snowy winter ahead.

I've been showing EVERYONE the little scarecrow quilt you made for me, and they all like it. One very practical woman asked what it was for. :} She said that she only made usable items. I thought to myself, 'what fun to have a little quilt that was just that... just for fun!!!' :D :D I think life is too short to just do practical things all the time. You gotta have fun along the way. I am thouroughly enjoying the little doll quilts that everyone is making.

Thanks for the kiss Gai, I didn't get it until just now, i didn't get notice yet again, I wonder if Admin will ever get it fixed, I am tired of having to remember what I have been chatting on, I have a hard time remembering what i did 5 min ago let alone a day or two, and to notice what you are missing? yeah, not happening here.

I'm working on my trial for the Nov-Dec doll quilt swap and am so excited!!! I took a pattern, enlarged it and changed it some and what I'm trying is working out like I wanted it to. Now I want to get my sample one done and then do the one for the exchange. I think I like the idea of making small quilts. They go a lot faster than the big ones, and are so cute. I guess it brings out the little girl in me that never outgrew the love of dolls. :-)

That is awesome!!!!!!!!!

I have a lot of stuufies and the quilts go good with them as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a good way to practice bits and pieces, whether it is something new or something that you are boning up on.

Or even if you want to try out a new design.

I love them and they are quicker, though I think some of them have as many hours put into them as some of the full size ones!

That's true. I know of one quilter that is putting a lot of time in her quilt and will be anxious to see her finished quilt.
I think a lot of love goes into these quilts that we do for someone we don't even know, or at least some of us don't know. And that's what amazes me... that someone will take the time to make something special for me not knowing me at all.

overlander,

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but received your little cutie!

She did a 'stack & whack' with oriental fabric and also made it reversible. Such an interesting design layout.

I love it! I can't stop looking at the differnt blocks from the same fabric. Will take pics and post tom.

Thank you overlander.
