I will be making a set of pieced owls similar to the one on post 22 and a set of appliqued silhouetted owls. I won't be making the ones on post 40. I agree with Annaquilts though. We could all be using the same pattern and we would still have a nice variety due to color and fabric choices.

I agree never thought about that. Okay I will Finish them up and post them. I love seeing the blocks. Keep them coming. I have all the pieces cut out for the one on post 40. I also found 2 other patterns I purchase months ago so will make some of those too.

I found a few pieces of owl fabric I forgot I had so that is good. Have a few ideas on some blocks. Need to sew the binding of two quilts and then will, finish up the owl blocks and post.

How is it going with you all?

Half way sewing down the sets of owl. I did all aplique. I still have to square them up after that and cut fabric squares for the twist.

Default silhouette owls

Here's one set completed. I hope the background colors aren't too wild, but I wanted to use batiks to look like sky in the background.

dhanke I really like the effect the batik has. the owls stand out in front of a stunning sunset. Very nice and a clever artistic interpetation.

silhouette owls are stunning. I love the background too! Did you cut the owl out by hand? I really like those.

Oh good, i'm glad the batik is OK. The silhouette is cut by hand, fused and satin stitched. I made all six on sunday, so they are fairly quick and easy.
