I am watching.

Mariposa 12-20-2011 07:39 AM

Aully- Yes, I did mail them to your new address~~ Hope they arrive soon!

QuilterMomma 01-31-2012 08:36 AM

Has anyone finished their quilts yet? Wanted to see some.

Muse&Sew 02-01-2012 06:31 AM

I'd love to see anyone's blocks quilts too. Have an idea of how to put mine together, but have been too busy.

QuilterMomma 02-01-2012 07:45 AM

I know that one. It is on my list to finish hopefully this month. I would like to get all these swap blocks put together so I can get them quilted and gifted out. I am sure someone is going to need them and this woodland one will look real nice on my love seat that I just rearragned to show case it.

Mariposa 02-01-2012 08:56 AM

QMomma- your hubby will love it! :)

QuilterMomma 02-01-2012 09:02 AM

You are right, he will. I have enough wilderness fabric that is in a bag for a UFO, I could combine two projects into one and ger r done. After the Valentine, and if I have time, I just may do that. Stay focused Momma.

Mariposa 02-01-2012 09:04 AM

I need to make a few more blocks for mine. My hubby wants it big enough for him! (he's tall & lanky)

QuilterMomma 02-01-2012 09:21 AM

yes he is tall. Why not just add some panel pieces to it. Or frame a panel piece. That might help and then make it large enough.

Mariposa 02-02-2012 12:23 PM

A panel sounds like a good idea. He! He! Did someone say shopping-??

QuilterMomma 02-02-2012 12:29 PM

Yah, but shop in your stash, I am sure you have something in there. Just think it is paid for shopping.

Mariposa 02-02-2012 04:13 PM

Yup! Found 2 panels in my stash! :)

QuilterMomma 02-03-2012 04:11 PM

Ok, now let us race and see who gets it done first. LOL you have a quilt to finish and I have a quilt to finish so we will see how we fare here.

QuilterMomma 02-06-2012 01:32 PM

After digging way deep in my UFOs, found the wilderness blocks. So now it is on Mariposa. My husband decided to put his two cents in, which is welcome since the quilt will be for him. He has it all laid out on what he wants in his quilt. I do have to finish one of the Moose blocks I sent in, I had one cut out just needed appliqued. Put aside the smaller ones for a different quilt. May do a panel in center and the others around. So I have to piece one more block to balance out the other pieced blocks. I have some scraps of wilderness fabrics I have left over from his sisters quilt I made so will make those the sashing and zinger border then put this pinecone fabric for the outer border, quilt it and done. yeah. Looks good typed out here, now to get this carpal tunnel to behave so i can get it done and life stay away. So how far are you on yours?

Mariposa 02-06-2012 01:41 PM

QMomma- I am still working on another quilt that needs to be finished asap, plus an apron. Then I can work on this one, and I need to make a few more blocks and filler pieces.

QuilterMomma 02-09-2012 02:59 PM

Well, i got these Owl blocks in the mail that will be added in to my Wilderness wallhanging. All my blocks are arranged and waiting for me to have enough time to put them together and let it sit in the waiting line for the longarm. I went to bed at 7:00pm last night and was toast till I got woke up at 4:00am. Then just did not get up till 6:00am out of stubbornness. If I got up, I would have had it done. Hmmm, quilting or sleep, which one?

Mariposa 02-09-2012 04:00 PM

I'd say sleeping~

QuilterMomma 02-13-2012 01:17 PM

All laid out, borders pieced and ready to sew on, then I will be done. I also have the wall hanging all laid out as well. Will post photo tomorrow if can.

QMomma- Looks great!! :)

Muse&Sew 02-15-2012 01:16 PM

QuilterMomma, I love your quilt! Looks like you got two of my blocks with the deer in the middle! :) Fun, fun. Love the bit of color you added with the strip borders. Hope you family enjoys the quilts!

Crafty3790 02-15-2012 03:54 PM

That came out great.

QuilterMomma 02-15-2012 04:06 PM

Thanks. Wondering if I should add one more border on outside or leave it at 50 x 60

I added one last border and it is now completed 100% I love it. There is a great amount of detail quilting to accentuate the features on this quilt. I outlined every applique so you can see them on the back as well. Then I also added features to the cabin and it has leaves on the pieced blocks with sid used on all the blocks to stabilize. It looks awesome in person.

Mariposa 03-27-2012 08:36 AM

Terrific quilt!! Love how you set it together! :)

Muse&Sew 03-28-2012 05:25 AM
