How sweet! Thanks for sharing your pics with us Judith. What a beautiful family.

What touching family photos, Judith! Your grandkids are so cute! Your daughter looks thrilled to have her man back! She is a brave woman managing so well while he served our country. God bless them all.

Thanks Red and NZquilter.
Well, one more block to go. It's always the hardest to pick out the very last block. And, I think I have found the right balance and placement of the blocks. I have my sashing strips and cornerstones all cut and ready to piece together. I used 13 of my 16 blocks from the swap. I kept just a couple to put in a quilt for my house. http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/..._165058447.jpg |
That's looking great Judith! Are you planning on adding sashing?
|
Hi Suzi Sew,
Yes, I am working on sashing and cornerstones right now. Hope to have a finished quilt top soon. |
Judith, it is looking great!

Okay ladies, here's what I have so far. Two more rows to go and then the borders can be put on. I am using a gray/white marble with royal blue cornerstones. I toned down my usual self because my son-in-law and daughter don't like things as flashy as I do. That's okay. I still think it's coming out awesome. Ladies, your work is exceptional. I am not loosing any points to speak of.

Alright, last block was picked out and made. I went with an Airplane. Since that is his job in the military. He works on the planes. I tried to keep it simple so it wouldn't look kidish. The top is made, now onto the final borders. And, then I can get it sent off to the quilters.
http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/..._160834634.jpg Right now, it measure's 73 x 87. I am going to make it Queen size. |
I love seeing all the different layouts. Beautiful tops! Thanks for posting pictures.

Thanks for posting that pic. I think you did a wonderful job of assembling the blocks.
