You are CORRECT!!! I have my strips cut!!! I have batiks, blacks and colors, oranges, pinks, cupcakes, monkeys, etc. LOTS of FUN stuff!!! :) I love stashbusters!!! Really helps keep hubby off my back when he sees me use up the last little bits of a piece of fabric and he doesn't see me replace it. :) I'm sneaky!!!

So...I went through my stash looking for "alphabet" fabrics and found like 10 or 12 fabrics with writing on them!!! Woo hoo!!! Time to get cutting!!! :)

Ok, so I just heard from luv. She asked me to post a request for her.

Her vacation got extended and she's wondering if all of us won't mind terribly if she can't return the swaps until after the 4th of July when she's home.... (will be hard for her to swap while on vacation...)

She feels terribly sorry for delaying and hope nobody is upset. I told her to have a FUN vacation for those of us who don't get one!!

With all the work you put into this swap, you need an extended vacation! You enjoy yourself and we can wait for our swaps a little longer!

So...I need y'alls help!!! At work one of our admins had a baby last night (I'm filling in for her while she is out while doing my lab work as well). Well, as soon as he was born, they couldn't get him to breathe. They got him in NICU and thankfully he is breathing and breathing on his own without the ventilator. She delivered around 8:25pm and finally got to see him for the first time at 2am. He is still in NICU and she hasn't had a chance to even hold him. Please say a prayer for this new little family. This is her first baby and it was a traumatic delivery for both her and the baby. They really need all the prayers they can get. On a positive note, the baby was 8 pounds 8 ounces and 18 inches long.

Praying for all !

Thank you so much. Just found out she is heart broken and in really rough shape. She feels like her world just collapsed. What was supposed to be one of the greatest joys and blessings she thought has turned into a nightmare for her, she said. I'm just heart broken for her.

Yosamitesa I know what this poor woman is going through. When my youngest son was born, he had lung problems. They took him to a hospital 2 hours away in a helicopter. It is very rough. He is fine now and 26 years old. Please tell her I am saying many prayers for her and her family. Please keep us updated.

Sustraley I will. She goes home today or tomorrow. Baby stays in NICU for a week or so.

Glad to hear things are improving. Continuing to pray for the family.

Yosa- my son was born 31 years ago 8 pounds 7 oz and spent a week in ICU for lung problems it is a scary time but he overcame that and is just fine now. The nurses in ICU had a blast with him as he was so big they didn't have to be as delicate with him, which is a bonus :thumbup: Give her a hug from all of us and tell her it is hard now but he has the best of care and to be strong for when he gets home. With my son it was hard to explain at the size he was when he was born that since he was 2 weeks early and his lungs had not developed he was considered a premie.

Was just "chatting" with Luv and I have to agree with her - it is so quiet because it is summer and everyone is out doing things .... as if anything is more important than sewing and quilting :shock:

Thursday we are suppose to hit 100 here in Indiana - I won't be doing anything :rolleyes:

WOW!! Been reading and so much has been going on since the last swap I was in. Everyone take care in the upcoming heat, 100* today and 106* tomorrow. My daughter works in the kitchen as the main cook at the nursing home and AC doesn't work half the time. Not looking forward to it!! Can someone tell me what the next swap is going to be?
