I would love to post a picture of a candy quilt, but I'm still in the collection stage.

I came across this pattern when I was thinking about what quilts to make with all my squares. You may have to fiddle with it - the block centers are 6.5" wide but I was thinking you could make the block centers from 15 of the candy squares - 3 across and 5 down which would be 7.5" wide so you would have to adjust the rest of the measurements - but its a pretty simple pattern. http://www.mccallsquilting.com/conte...er_s_Dozen.pdf

JNCT, I think the pattern link you put up would work fine wit candy. It could be really cute.

I just mailed my first birthday swap. It cost $.86. I just stuck them all in a birthday card and it worked great.

I don't hand quilt - I found that it made my wrist hurt outrageously. I do FMQ on my 9" midarm machine. I do like to hand piece and I love applique though.

BTW - here is another possible idea for a quilt using the squares - no pattern but you can probably figure it out or go to the designer's website: http://www.mccallsquilting.com/mccal..._Quilt_Pattern

Great looking ideas being posted.

I'm mailing out the march birthdays and I want to let you know, if you see 2 of a kind in your batch, they are xtras, so each of you (29) may have 60+ total. I didn't know what to do with the xtras so you may pass them on.
:)
