Hello, dear swappers! I have all the packages in except the one AnneP sent. After some research, we are concluding that her package was mis-delivered or some other way lost in the mail. So I am considering the swap completed and will get your packages out to you as soon as possible, hopefully before the weekend.

Anne will still get some sets of squares. I have extras to put in the trade for her.... She mailed her package in plenty of time, via first class mail. Many (most) of you also used first class, as it's such a money saver on packages under 13 ounces! HOWEVER, please take warning from this experience and purchase a tracking number the next time you send a package by first class. Then, at least you will be able to follow where it goes. A tracking number is about $1.05. It's not insurance, but the P.O. seems to be more careful with packages that have numbers on them.

This is my first swap to host on the QB. To celebrate I have made a little "happy" gift to include with your squares. Thank you for participating, and I hope you like it! We will do this again in about a month, since we had such good response this time. Thank you everyone who cut and sent squares!

I have received my squares and a darling little mug rug. Thanks for hosting this 2 inch square swap.

I received my 2" squares yesterday. Thank you sewbizgirl. Love the mug rug. I plan to use these squares for hexi. paper piercing. I am going on a trip next month. It will be a great on the go project.

Glad you all are happy! We will repeat this swap again in about a month. Start setting aside some new scraps to cut into 2" squares.

I find if I save 2" strips it works better... Then when time to cut for the swap, I just pile them up and make as many 2" cuts as I want sets to swap. I usually stack 10 strips at a time and then I only need to do the cutting with 5 sets of 10 strips, to get to 50. Much faster and easier than cutting each square.

So throw some strips or scraps aside for the next one... it will be here before you know it!

Just got back from a 10-day trip to Michigan and my squares were waiting on me when I got back. Thanks everyone for the squares and sewbizgirl for hosting. The fabric coaster is so cute!

The squares are so cute! I'm having fun going through them all.... I wish some of them were samples I could order from!

I'm ready to post for the next swap... just waiting on the OK from PatriceJ. I'll post a link to it here when I get it up. This one will have a "twist"!

I have posted sign ups for the next swap. There are a few changes this time that I hope will make it better and more fun. It's just not cost effective to mail less than 4 sets, so I am establishing a 4 set minimum, and a 12 set maximum. I've also added a "twist" of 6 sets of 20 winter holiday fabrics (I wasn't allowed to specify "Christmas"...). You can read about the twist in the new announcement.

Also, all return packages will be priority flat rate at $5.70, because I sent a few small ones by first class last time and there were too many problems.

If you mail your package to me by first class, please buy a tracking number in case it gets lost. Priority is really safer, faster, and comes with the tracking # for free.
