I will probably be jumping into swaps at some point. My question is this- is it okay that I make my own noodles? I have remnants that I cut into noodles, charm squares, turnovers etc. I just sit down from time to time and start cutting away, then store them neatly. I cut very straight. Would something like this be okay, or when you swap noodles, are you guys wanting things like Moda's noodles or ones bought from the store??

Camillacamilla, I make my own too. THe fabric needs to be washed, dried and ironed first before cutting. One yard should yield 14 strips. 2 you keep for sourself and then 12 you would send to me. But they do not need to be the same. There is a theme. Like last July we did purple. As long as you send me 12 purple strips it's good, they can be 12 different from diff. fabrics. Clear as mud?

Thanks Kyiav10, that does make sense! I didn't know if it would be frowned on if you made the noodles yourself on not. I know some people have problems cutting strips and borders straight, but that actually is something I am good at, lol.

Yes you can. It goes by a month by month, swappers join when they can.

Looking forward to having you as a swapper tslowery.

Sorry, I'm a newby, what is a noodle???

Kyiav10 05-28-2009 12:34 PM

A noodle is a strip of fabric that is 2.5 inches by WOF (width of fabric). WOF is usually between 40-44 inches long. WOF is selvage to selvage. If you have any other question just let me know.
