Jennifer22206 01-30-2011 01:43 PM

jean1941 01-30-2011 05:42 PM

you are right Paisley is never ugly

sewbizgirl 01-30-2011 05:43 PM

No, no, no. I still see ugly even when the pieces are tiny. Especially ugly color. Going to pass and root all the rest of you brave souls on...

sewingsuz 01-30-2011 06:16 PM

Where can I look at last years pictures of ugly fabric? I would like to see what we are talking about. Thanks

Here's the winning quilt:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-44522-54.htm

It's about 1/2 way down the page. Pictures of the oooglies start on page 1.

Butterflyblue 01-30-2011 06:40 PM

Wow, I never did catch the pic of the quilt last years' winner made. I'm impressed. I never would have suspected it could be done.

I used to have this one ugly fabric, it was green and orange and pink, big bright splashes, and the green was an awful shade that even cut small, didn't look very good.

Unfortunately?, I did manage to use it all up, mostly as backing for crazy quilt blocks (so it did not show). If I still had some I'm confident it would be in the running to win.

lauriejo 01-30-2011 08:23 PM

I am sure I've still got some left over fabric from the 70's somewhere around here. Does it have to be cotton?

babyboomerquilter 01-31-2011 09:22 AM

I will check what I have too.

lynnie 01-31-2011 09:36 AM

the question is not who bought it, but who designed it, and let that stuff gothru to production,
well like they say, theres someone for everyone, and theres a fabric for everything.

kriscraft99 02-01-2011 05:32 AM

sooooooooooo funny!!

ok, here's something some one can teach me - how to easily post a picture. I do have a digital camera. How do I get from the card in the camera to online?

My camera has a USB cord that plugs from the camera to the computer then I down load the pic's to the comp.

kriscraft99 02-01-2011 01:46 PM

I have a card reader - I take the storage disk from my camera and plug it into my reader which plugs into my computer

My computer has a slot for the card so I just pull it out of the camera and stick it in the computer.

CloverPatch 02-07-2011 08:17 AM

You know I thought about entering, till I saw that Green Elvis fabric. To say the least I am NOT an Elvis fan. I have got nothing that could possibly beat that fabric!!!

Then you wouldn't have to worry about winning if you enter. LOL!!

Twisted Quilter 02-07-2011 11:40 AM

Entering the challenge and trying to explain why you purchased it is the fun part. Winning is another story.

I guarantee Elvis will be a challenge to use. You might be able to fussy cut and get some 1/2" square pieces without getting an eyeball or nose in it.

Eisgoow 02-14-2011 12:51 AM

Well, I purchase what designs I like so I do not anything that I consider ugly. So, I cannot contribute......... Woe is me.

Eisgoow 02-14-2011 12:53 AM

instead of a Ugly Scrap why don't you do a Prettiest Scrap Pattern ??

LovingIzabella 02-14-2011 11:29 AM

I may have to dig around....there are some here I actually like lol
