Oops! My message posted before I was finished. Anyway, those are some examples of light neutrals for the CCC blocks.
QLG - you're in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure it's a difficult time for you. RE: the CCC blocks, you sew a brown/neutral 4 patch and a pink/neutral 4 patch. Cut as usual. Switch the strip units between the two cut 4 patch units. The first of Jane's examples for the tone on tone fabric reminds me of kitchen counters and bathroom tiles. :-) Love it! In fact, I'd take any of the three for my kitchen counter! :-p
