And the best stuff they have is not even on the website! They broker closeouts and over-runs and their retail store space is full of great name-brand fabrics for so cheap. They also sell these by the bolt, wholesale... also cheap. I go shop their store in person about twice a year. It's about 2 hours west of Memphis. You need to go in person sometime, Ibex! They are in Batesville AR.

you have me going to Ikea in Memphis, TN and now Batesville, AR. I might just have to make you my personal fieldtrip coordinator.

Liam is grabbing fingers! You can always just crank out churn dashes for us if you run out of time. Playing with Liam is definitely a bigger priority!

At least Memphis is on the way! 3 hours to Memphis from Jackson, then 3 more to Batesville. You will need all day at Marshall's tho... I'll warn you.

Bob oh boy sure glad little Liam didn't make his miraculous appearance during the sewing part of our boom. I would have had to sew in middle of night when company was asleep and when I wasn't driving family back and forth to the NIC unit in the snow. No snow predicted for a few days, that will make my life much easier. He is more alert and grabbed hold of fingers yesterday. Still no prognosis, it's just wait and see. Very thankful I can offer family a place to stay and drive them to hospital but no sewing time.

Best post I've read all day!! ❤️

Liam had a rough day, consequently everyone had a rough day. The put a tube down his nose and he wasn't a happy camper. They will inject mom's breast milk through the tube. The specialist was in, sorry I don't remember his speciality. The kids asked her if he had ever experienced anything like Liam being born alive in his condition. He said no. His theory is Liam's lungs formed and started to grow early before his heart expanded and filled his chest cavity.

He's a miracle baby. Why can't he nurse or suck breast milk in a bottle?

sewbizgirl - Little Liam is probably using all his energy breathing and growing. There's always a chance that something swallowed will go down the wrong way or obstruct breathing. Gastro tubes are pretty common in NICU, I've been told. Plus there's the whole measurement thing, how much actually got in the baby versus the burp cloth?

Terri - great that the mother can provide breast milk. That's good news for both her and Liam.

Janice - Has every package come in yet?

joanelizbay 01-13-2017 05:17 AM

Terri that's wonderful news! Will continue prayers for the family..be safe if the weather gets bad. Expecting 1/2" of ice here in central Mo.. Had to come to work for a couple of hours to do payroll but I'm going home soon!! All the grocery stores and Wal mart were out of bread and water yesterday. Glad I cook with gas in case power goes out! Have a full thickness tear in my shoulder so more doctors the 24th. Have NO idea what that means except its aching like crazy and oxy didn't really help much last night. I DO NOT like getting older!

Joan a tear in your shoulder sounds horrible.

Yes all2 pieces is right but it starts a vicious circle, one of the goals for going home is he nurses and takes in 2 oz. of milk, with injecting the milk he will not be very interested in nursing. They weigh the little guy b4 and after every feeding.

Joane liz- be safe out there. Sounds life you tore the rotor cuff tendon and can't believe that they are making you wait until the 24th to see doctor. It doesn't normally heal itself and would hate to see you have to have surgery.
Terri- they weighted my GD before and after when my DD was having difficulties breastfeeding. They need to find out how much they are getting and that's about the only way! Such positive steps. And I am sure everyone is a little worried about getting hopes too high. Mom and I will pray together for him.

Janice - how do you ever keep all the groups straight??? I click on the March group thinking its April and get all excited about someones fabric only to find out I can't play with it! Any you oversee others too! You are so impressive. No wonder you don't have time to sew!!
