haven't been on this site in years. i was CookieZenmilk in another life. I am not sure where that name disappeared to on this site. I used to host postcard swaps.

I recently visited a LQS to get supplies for a class i was teaching at a local senior center. One clerk excitably told the owner that I should teach the class at their shop. The shop owner put down the idea and said no one does that anymore and they never went thru the mail properly and a host of other reasons. I left all my goods on her counter and told her i would never shop there again and left the store.

That shop owner must have been having a tough time keeping that store up to be so negative about her worker's excitement that there was a quilting teacher in the house. So sorry that happened.

I miss the post card challenges. I had so much fun with them.

I only participated a few times. I really enjoyed making them. It was like telling a story in one image.

Hi Anne, (Cookie) I too have been away for so long. I check back from time to time. I miss it . I too was a host for the Postcard swap. I dearly miss that little bit of happy in my mailbox month to month. If you ever think about hosting, I will definitely sign up. Although, mailing things has gotten a bit expensive. I can't imagine one little postcard out of budget. Sorry for your bad experience at the quilt store. That's really disappointing. And, Welcome back. I'm glad i saw your post.
